Simuline and Specular to Unveil New Unreal Engine 4 Based Interactive Motion Ride

Simuline, Inc. will be unveiling its newest motion ride, the Valkyrie, at the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2014 that will be held in Orlando, Florida. The Valkyrie is an interactive 4D motion ride that uses Unreal Engine 4 to deliver cutting edge content alongside Simuline’s patented ride technology. This is one of the first projects to use UE4 in an attraction simulator.

“We believe a truly immersive experience requires the quality of the content to be equal to the physical experience. Using UE4 guarantees that we give customers the best visual experience possible,” said Ryan Lee, head of Product Development.

The first content to be showcased on the Valkyrie platform will be Project HADES, a zombie shooter featuring 60FPS in stereoscopic 3D developed by California-based veteran arcade developer Specular Interactive, Inc.

“Developing content for an interactive motion ride has long been a dream of ours here at Specular,” said Steven Ranck, President of Specular Interactive. “We are excited to work with Simuline and Epic Games to revolutionize the interactive motion ride industry and bring best-in-class content to the Valkyrie. Project HADES wouldn’t have been possible without the support from Simuline and Epic’s Unreal Engine 4.”

The prototype Valkyrie will be on demonstration throughout the expo to industry attendees and press.
